TIME TO TASTE

I spice is a partnership cottage industry of Steve and Joanna, lovingly producing exceptional, spicy Slow Food for retail and catering.

We began in June 2009, offering poke o’ pakora to selected pubs in Hebden Bridge and surrounding districts.  The popularity of this quickly led us to offer a weekly Indian curry night, initially at the Fox and Goose, later at the Hole in t’Wall, the Inn on the Bridge and the Lord Nelson Luddenden.

Now we offer our Connoisseur Curry Night at the Cross Inn Heptonstall on Tuesdays, and on Wednesdays our New Curry Night at the Three Pigeons in Halifax.

As part of our two Curry Nights, at least one of the dishes on offer is made of locally grown produce.

Any food left over is donated to a charity for destitute people in Halifax.

Waste from plates is composted at home for use in our vegetable garden.
